Colomokee Ministries

We seek to minister to you and equip you to minister to others.

And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.
— Ephesians 4:11-12

Preaching of the Word

The keystone ministry at Colomokee is expository preaching of the Bible. While sermons may occasionally be topical or focused on a systematic area of study, our pastor primarily preaches through books of the Bible verse-by-verse. All other ministries at Colomokee are extensions of the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

Ministry of Music

At Colomokee, we don’t divide over church music style. Instead, our priority is vigorously engaging heart and mind as we worship in spirit and in truth. We have a choir and a modern worship team. We sing robust old hymns and newer songs, too. Any given Sunday, the music may be traditional or contemporary. We joyfully do both.

Sunday School

From the nursery to senior adults, our Sunday School classes are where interactive small group Bible study takes place. We aim to help one another directly engage, not just a lesson book, but Scripture itself. We also seek to identify, nurture, and develop those with teaching gifts so they can serve both inside and outside the church.

Discipleship Training

Our Sunday evening services are devoted to discipleship training. We do this through Scripture-centered, interactive group discussion designed to support and catalyze one another’s spiritual growth, cultivate our ability to share the gospel with others, and help us lead others to do the same.

Prayer Meeting

In both Old Testament and New, prayer is not only a private individual practice, but something you see God’s people doing together in groups. Our Wednesday night prayer meetings are devoted to cultivating powerful, effective prayer lives, both privately and when we’re gathered with other believers.

Women on Mission

Our Women on Mission ministry at Colomokee provides a relational and dynamic way for women to grow in Christ and answer His call to make disciples. Through Bible study, prayer devotionals, missions projects and outreach, it offers opportunities and resources to be involved with missions in your everyday life.

Sunday Morning Nursery

We believe ministry to young children is just as important as ministry to adults. During Sunday School and our Sunday morning worship service we provide a nursery for children from infants up through age 3. This critical ministry not only meets the needs of children, but also frees parents to focus on learning and worship.

Fellowship Ministries

The effectiveness of ministry breaks down in the absence of authentic relationships. That’s why we’re also intentional about building relationships at Colomokee. Simply laughing together and having a good time can be a holy thing! We have two fellowship-focused ministries, our Weekly Men’s Breakfast and our Quarterly Women’s Fellowship.

Ministries We Do Not Currently Have

We do not currently have a youth ministry (beyond Sunday School) or a children’s ministry during service (except for the nursery). While we are very intentional about what ministries we start and maintain, we are also open to new ideas and growth. Perhaps God wants to use you to launch and lead something new at Colomokee!
